It replays whole days against each program's published limits: daily loss from the start-of-day balance, static or trailing max loss, profit targets, minimum days and time limits. Firms' live risk engines also watch open trades tick by tick, so add each day's worst point (and best point for intraday-trailing programs) for a closer result. Trailing floors are never locked here, so trailing programs come out on the strict side. Consistency, news and weekend rules aren't checked.
